The Osmond family began the new year with heartbreaking news: Wayne Osmond, beloved singer and member of the iconic Osmond siblings, has passed away at the age of 73. His death marks the first loss among the legendary family, leaving fans across the globe mourning a man whose music and spirit touched generations.
Following the family’s official announcement, Wayne’s younger brother — and longtime confidant — Jay Osmond shared an emotional tribute on Instagram. Accompanied by a touching photo, Jay wrote:
“A true legend has left the Earth. My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of my brother Wayne. It’s often said that where there is great love, there is great grief — and as we part ways on this earthly journey, I feel that truth profoundly.”
Jay went on to reflect on the unique bond the two shared:

Born the fourth of nine children, Wayne Osmond stepped into the world of music at a young age.
